The South Metro Fire Rescue Authority was formed May 1, 2008, by intergovernmental agreement between South Metro Fire Rescue and the Parker Fire Protection District.  It is the intent of that agreement to operate as a fire authority while working towards a full legal merger of the two fire districts. Click here to reach the fire authority web page.  The South Metro Fire Rescue Authority provides emergency medical, fire suppression, and fire prevention services to the people living and working in Arapahoe and Douglas counties.  The authority covers 176 square miles and includes: the cities of Parker, Greenwood Village, Cherry Hills Village, Centennial, Lone Tree, Castle Pines North, and Foxfield; as well as much of the Denver Tech Center, Meridian, Inverness, Park Meadows, Centennial Airport, and the communities of Castle Pines Village and Louviers.  For more information go to  www.southmetro.org
